Well, I spent this evening playing with A LOT of different picks. I've had a predilection toward "jazz" picks for the past few years and was absolutely stuck on the Stubby 1.0 pick. I'd purchased a few of the wrong sized picks from RJL here and thought to myself "I should get the right size for a fair comparison". I spoke to Bobby via the interweb and he was able to suss out exactly the pick for me. Well, he did it. I had a shootout with seven different picks that I've used over the years and came down to loving this carbon fibre pick the most. How exciting - except for my damned bank account! Now I have to buy more just in case they decide to grow legs and walk away... Stupid disappearing picks! I've included a photo of the picks I used and will include a brief rundown here:

Jazz III, Eric Johnson Jazz III, Max-Grip Jazz III, Stubby 1.0, Red Bear Jazzer, the wrong RJL carbon fibre pick and the right one that arrived today

I've been putting them through rigorous testing and have decided that the Eric Johnson Jazz III picks come in a close second, but the carbon fibre pick just has a feel and ease about it. The notes are clear, well-defined, crisp and jump out! Huzzah to carbon fibre and RJL!

PS How did that Dawkins book make it into the photo? Whoops! Science photobomb!

Bobby, thanks for the custom mini triangle picks. For Greek bouzouki, these are fantastic. Wonderful tone, and the cutouts provide just the right amount of grip, and add a bit of flex needed for Greek bouzouki shredding! The thin non-cutouts are great too. The Jazz Omega also have great tone, and feel. Your eagerness to provide top notch customer service and an outstanding product to musicians the world over, as well as fast delivery, is quite unusual in today's business world, and much appreciated. Many thanks!

Hi Booby thanks for the very fast service and really great picks.

I used to us V-Picks before trying your Toro Jazz+ & medium Skull & Xbones.I really like V- Picks, I was talking to a mutual friend and he was talking about your picks; and I said that I would give them a try. So I did :-)

Your picks are so different from anything I have tried before apart from metal. I love the grip and the tone, the attack is out of this world with very little physical effort.

Bobby you have a convert and I would recommend your picks to any Tone Seeker.

Bobby, your picks are wonderful !!! I've ordered and tried the custom Jazz Jolly Roger (2.0mm), the Triangle (2.0mm), The standard heavy Jolly roger, the Jazz XL Longhorn medium and the Jazz + Omega. What a pleasure and a difference to play with this carbon picks ! They sound nice, are faster than any other picks and they're so thin that I don't feel them between my fingers. I discovered that I could play more better than I thought. RJL picks have improved my Gameplay on my guitar, mandolin and mandola. Every player should give them a try... Bobby, you've really done the job with this picks. Thank you :)

Thanks for my order Bobby. I've been using the heavy Jolly Roger round tip all week as I was really impressed with the tone and feel of the pick. I would definately say that it is the best I have ever used and the reason for placing the order. The 2.00mm Jazz Custom is different again and I look forward to using it at my next gig!

I may be a little bias but the new custom Jazz Jolly Rogers are awsome to use with less wear. I still like the thick jazz jolly rogers but find I'm using the 2.0mm custom all the time. probably because I enjoy the thicker positive feel and they wear a lot less.
